FAQ

  • Where are your ingredients from?

At OOU-Mami Local Street Food, about 85% of our ingredients come from local farms and producers in and around Charlottesville, Virginia. We partner directly with growers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability, so every bite supports the local food economy while keeping our dishes unbelievably fresh.

  • Why don’t you have tables?

We cook out of a shared professional kitchen so we can focus on what truly matters: ingredients and flavor. By keeping our overhead low, we put more of your dollar into sourcing top-quality, locally grown food and keeping prices fair.

  • Do you offer catering or group orders?

Yes! We offer office lunches, event catering, and large group orders with the same local ingredients and bold flavor as our everyday menu. It’s easy to order ahead and pick up — fresh, simple, and guaranteed crowd-pleasers.

  • Do you offer seasonal sides or rotating dishes?

Yes! Our seasonal sides change regularly to highlight what’s fresh from local farms. From charred vegetables to citrusy slaws and roasted roots, we let the harvest guide our menu so it always stays new and flavorful.

  • Where can I find OOU-Mami Local Street Food?

Our first kitchen is at Beacon Kitchen in Charlottesville — a collaborative space for local food makers. It’s just a 10-minute drive from the UVA campus, on the way to the Downtown Mall, making it the perfect stop for a quick pickup or delivery.

  • Are there vegetarian or vegan options?

Absolutely. Many of our dishes are naturally plant-based, and our menu always includes seasonal vegetarian and vegan options built around local produce and big flavor.
